Rebuild Omaha's Community
Dear Members of our Resilient Community,
Omaha was struck by a devastating force of nature that left a trail of destruction in its wake. Tornadoes tore through our beloved city’s various subdivisions, leaving many homes shattered and lives upended. Among those profoundly affected are our friends from Omaha including members of our Indian community.
We stand at a pivotal moment, where the true measure of our strength and unity was tested. In the face of adversity, several of us came together to assist these families in cleaning up the debris and helping them get a semblance of normalcy. However, it is our duty to extend a helping hand, to offer solace and support to those who have lost almost everything.
The Hindu Temple Omaha, in partnership with the India Association of Nebraska (including regional organizations like Bengal Association, Gujarati Samaj, Kerala Samajam, Marathi Mandal, Oriya Group, Sirigandha Kannada Sangha, Tamil Sangam, Telugu Samiti and other religious organizations) has initiated a fundraising drive to support the rebuilding and resettlement efforts. Your contributions, no matter how big or small, will make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected.
Below isTornado Relief Donation link.. For any donation above $500, we appreciate if you could write a check in the name of EITHER of these two organizations and drop the same in the hundi box in the temple. In the memo please mention “Tornado Relief“ All checks in favor of IAN will duly be given to that organization.
Together, we can turn the tide of despair into a wave of hope. Together, we can rebuild the Omaha community stronger than ever before. Let us stand united in this hour of need, for it is in our unity that our strength lies.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Hindu Temple Omaha & India Association of Nebraska
